Conference Venue
Baltic Dynamics 2008 was held in Tartu, Estonia. The time-honoured university, museum-rich and Hanseatic city of Tartu lies on the banks of the River Emajõgi. The capital of sothern Estonia is the second largest city in the country and the oldest in the Baltic States. Tartu is a modern city with a rich historical heritage and culture.
It is the cradle of the Estonian Song Festival, Estonian theatre and the Estonian state; Tartu is the intellectual capital of Estonia where national awareness and the culture of Estonia was born.
The conference took place at the brand new Dorpat Conference Center and Spa Hotel, located in the center of Tartu. It was officially opened in May 2008 and it is the biggest conference and banquet centre in southern Estonia. Featuring ten different auditoriums and fitted with all the latest technology, the centre is the perfect place for cosy, intimate meetings and large-scale conferences and celebratory events alike.
The Conference Venue was located 180 km from Tallinn Ülemiste Airport.
