Tartu Science park will open Demo Centre for mobile solutions

Next year Tartu Science park will open a Demo Centre for mobile solutions where entrepreneurs, developers and everyone else can see and touch clever mobile services, tools made in Estonia.

Annika Toit, project manager says: "Goal is to bring info- and telecommunication technologies closer to people and support cooperation between entrepreneurs". Right now the only technology Demo Centre in Baltics is in Tallinn. As a part of Unified ICT Networks project a Demo Centre will be opened on Tartu, Riga and Ventspils.

In Tartu the concentration will be on Mobile apps and services starting from mobile parking to a robot controlled by phone. The centre will also feature a robotics corner in a living lab setting.

This project is partnered by Tartu Science Park, University of Tartu, Latvian IT Cluster, Riga Technical University and Ventspils High Technology Park. Project budget is 632 000€ and is funded by Estonian-Latvian program.
