16th Baltic Dynamics gathered innovation experts from all over Europe

On September 5-6th „Baltic Dynamics 2011", an international conference on innovation, took place in Tallinn, Radisson Blu conference centre. This was already 16th time science parks and business incubators gathered in one of the Baltic States to discuss the topics of innovation, creativity and start-up scene. Conference theme was "Cross-Regional Initiatives for Business Innovation" and it was opened by the President of Estonia, Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves. The President emphasized the importance of cross-border cooperation and pointed out that when macro economical development strategies came to agenda, Baltic Sea region was the first region in the European Union to have such strategy.

Two-day conference gathered more than 200 participants from 33 countries including many leaders and experts from internationally acknowledged organizations giving a presentation about hot topics inside creative industries, internationalization, incubation and venture capital. Second day of the conference focused on the interaction between universities and entrepreneurship. From Tartu Science Park, Seren Eilmann and Toomas Noorem made presentations on cluster internationalization services and semi-industrial laboratories.

The conference also celebrated 5th anniversary of Business Support and Credit Management Foundation, 2nd birthday of Tallinn Creative Incubator and 20th anniversary of SPICE Group.
