International success in Lüebeck

Twelve small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) took part at the course in Lüebeck (Germany) to prepare the internationalisation of their businesses.

 

The course arranged by TECHNIKZENTRUM Lüebeck (Technology Centre Lüebeck) focused on medicine and biotechnology with participants in the start-up phase of internationalisation. It provided a successful platform for sharing ideas and experiences on how to internationalise their businesses in the Baltic Sea Region.

BEPART is a project that works on such instruments in the fields of entrepreneurship promotion and training - with strong links to regional development. Partners within the project can connect experience from strong and weak regions, from regions in new and fast-growing market economies (Estonia, Lithuania, Poland), and in settled market economies (Denmark, Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden).

An incubator with an eye towards the world

Autumn 2005 will see the addition of a new and unique incubator in Norway: The BizPoint Incubator, for small and mid-size companies with international potential.

BizPoint Norway, run by SNP Gardermoen, is focusing on bringing in five tenants for the ready-to-use offices during the autumn. The goal is to assemble 15-20 companies with international ambitions within a stone's throw from Oslo International Airport by the end of 2006. The Incubator's long-term goal is to utilise the area's natural resources - the infrastructure and the proximity to the airport - as well the establishment of a resource centre for the internationalisation of companies.
